How it all began

My son's first birthday was approaching, and I was searching online for suitable decorations. The selection was enormous—at least as long as I didn't bother with sustainability. This got me thinking. Sure, decorative items are always luxury items, but do they have to come at the expense of our environment? After this experience, it was clear to me: I wanted to change that.

My name is Jessica Niedermann , and I'm the founder of Olfair . After many years in the financial industry, I felt a growing desire for a change. While the work was interesting and varied, I wanted to do something of my own, something creative.

Founding Olfair was my dream—and a real challenge. Anticipation and excitement alternated with self-doubt, and yes, even a few tears. I was able and obliged to learn a lot, researched, tinkered for months on the perfect recipe, experimented, and transformed our home into a fragrance laboratory. I searched for the right materials until I was convinced I had found the most sustainable option currently available.

The result: handmade products that smell good, look good and, above all, are really good for our planet.

My grandmother always smelled of roses. Even at Christmas, when the scent of cookies and roasts wafted through the house, her rose perfume mingled with it and lingered in the air for a while even after she had left the room. I loved it. Even years later, just a hint of rose is enough to transport me back to her living room.

Fragrances are like time capsules. They take us on a journey through old memories. One reason why "Olfactory" is part of our name. Because our fragrance products are meant to transport you back to precious moments and give you a feeling of comfort and peace.

And the "fair"? That's more than just a play on words. It's our compass and our most important value: Fair to nature, fair to our people, fair to you. We don't compromise on that.
