Good to know

Each gift set contains:

- a set of 2 taper candles

- a candle holder Alva

Taper candles made from olive wax and organic cotton wicks. Handmade in Zurich.

No paraffin, palm oil, artificial colors or fragrances.

Candle holder made of recycled glass.

All of our candles are handmade, so minor imperfections such as air bubbles may occur.

Olive wax is a softer wax, so there's a chance the candles will drip.

Application

Before burning

  • Only use your candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface suitable for candles (e.g., ceramic, glass, or stone). The surface should be large enough to catch any wax that might spill. You can also find suitable containers in our shop.
  • Before lighting, shorten the wick to 5-7mm, remove any wick and match residues from the candle and
    Dust and other things, shorten the edges of the candle to 2cm.

During the burning

  • Do not place your candle in the draft.
  • Do not let your candle burn for longer than 3-4 hours.
  • Do not touch your candle while it is burning or the wax is still liquid.
  • If the flame becomes too large, extinguish the candle and shorten the wick.
  • If the wick is no longer in the center while burning, you can straighten it again so that the candle does not burn on one side.

After burning

  • Never extinguish the flame with water or any other liquid.
  • After extinguishing your candle, ventilate the room thoroughly.

Safety instructions

  • Do not burn candles on or near flammable objects.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Do not burn candles within reach of children and pets.
  • Leave at least 10cm between the candles.
  • Remove packaging before use.
